Wonderful time!!!! My youngest daughter and my sisters doughter in law have done a fantastic job of taking over. they realize that my genration is getting older and their generation needs to take over. We enjoy being in the kitchen with them and occasionally doing something but they do most of it. And their husbands are usually by their sides. My oldest daughter has never been 'housewifey'. Two years ago her little one was a newborn. Last year her excuse was she was still nursing. So this year I told her she had to be in there. There were prlenty of adults to watch her two kids ages 7 and 2. She said that she never realized that the wonderful turkey she loves to eat was so difficult to cut and prepare. My youngest actually said loater tonight that for Christmas she wants it back to her and my sister's daughter in law. She said that the kitchen was just to crowded. To many cooks! My ssiter son (husband of this wonderful daughter in law) makes the best ham! And my daughter makes the best turkey. So between the two of them it was good.
Our son in law just got back from his second tour of duty in Iraq last week so we were truly blessed this year. Plus my sisiter is doing well with her chemotherapy from her breast cancer and my uterine cancer was taken care of with a hysterectomy. And we have two wonderful, beautiful grandchildren!
