Frank, sometimes H-Pylori can cause ulcers. I tested negative for it years ago when I had an ulcer. I am not sure if the doctor ordered a H-Pylori test today but the symptoms are consistant with my previous ulcer. I am sure it's peptic since I feel better when I eat. Some don't but this is how my last ulcer went. If it doesn't clear up by the added Nexium then he'll probably send me for an endoscopy I am sure. There isn't anything they can really do except prescribe meds either way. I'm already taking Nexium for Gerd. If it's H-Pylori then they would prescribe antibiotics.
