I know that when I was stationed in Germany back in '81-'83, right at the time when everyone was saying that Reagan was going to push us into a war, I would sure have loved to get something from the folks at home to let me know that I wasn't as alone as it seemed. They told us that if war broke out then, our life expectancy would be 15 minutes or less. I'm sure glad it never broke out!
