Seiko the watch dog...he is all that and more.

He does not watch the house, but he needs to be watched.

Seiko is full of love, yet there is a time around the gloom of the morning when there is nothing but fear and darkness.

Morning gloom as I call it...it is when the night is almost done.

How I fear those hours...

How I dread those hours..

Every little twitch ..every little sucking..awakens me..is it time??

Seiko looks at me with the same horror and wonder in his eyes.

It is Sunday morning and I awaken to the sound of Seiko vomiting.

Comforting him at this moment of discomfort helps little.

Discomfort has turned into panic...

I see it in his eyes.

He takes off and crashes into the wall.

That sound is burnt into my mind.

He runs the other way.

Running into the door.

He finally falls over and seizes.

His neck is all croaked. his eyes are empty, the mouth foaming.

The breathing has stopped or at best shallow.

The twitching continues...and continues..and continues

The seconds has stopped and been replaced by eternity of darkness.

An hour passes and he is back...not a cloud behind those innocent trusting eyes.

Life is playing a joke on me.

This is what I was most afraid of...
