my thanks to you, Chemar for posting this. It has valuable information , caring for the caregiver.

I still have bouts of depression fretting over the fact that I could not care for MIL longer here at home.

Had my 2 SIL's pitched in a day or 2 a week I do believe we could have worked things out, good for their Mom as well as good for me. They both live close to us, but they were not willing to give just a few hours now and again.

Of course they try to put the blame on me for their Mom having to be placed, but I refuse to accept that blame. I love her too and we were very close when she was still able to function.

It's too late for us, but those that are just starting down this road should give this article some thought and then find the help.

On another forum I found about a doz. others, just like me. Knew very little about caregiving. Especially for one with Dementia. the group of this little band helped each other, on our on as best we could. I can not tell you how much this helped me as well as the others.
