No, I've been told that my hysterectomy will be done through the abdomen. Many women are able to have it done vaginally - that isn't an option for me, some medical reason..but I don't know why. I have heard that having it done vaginally is much easier to recover from. I personally know a few who've had it done for their endometriosis.
