I know how frustrating it can be.....my right hand/arm has been numb since October 2007. I kept thinking it would go away but I think now it's permanently damaged. I've learned to do a lot with my left hand including writing that's even legible (at times

). I still make myself use my right hand but I'm very, very careful when doing so and I never depend on it for anything.
You're right, though. We adjust to it. Most times I don't even notice it....unless it's hurting which it does after a long day of trying to make it be useful. I refuse to allow it to take away everything from me. I will just learn a new way of doing what I want to do.
If anything, this has taught me to be even more patient with myself and tolerant of others who have challenges.
