Whatever "gets" me (below the neck) during an attack, always ultimately gets both sides; neuropathic pain, spasticity, numbness, etc. I can get symptoms on either side (not in an attack), but "damage" occurs to both at the same time.

That's what makes me think this is something else, like a disc or peripheral nerve problem.
