I did read the FAQ, but I either missed it or didn't understand it. New visitors or (like me) returning members might appreciate some guidance

Hi Lara. I was a little slow in starting to use the "new features".
I believe that the visitor function is part of a recent upgrade, and that the FAQs were made before then. Many of us were confused by the "friends" and visitor messages.
I think the visitor messages should be for social interaction.
When someone asks me personal or professional stuff, I PM them back and delete theirs. Also when that last upgrade was done, our PM box was enlarged. I don't know if you noticed that? it is 1000 now. (which is very good for me
