Hi Georgia,
Welcome to NT. I have permanent nerve pain from MS, and also from getting hit in the rear of a car I was riding in. We were stopped at a red light many years ago. Lower back pain.

I have tried every legal drug I was prescribed for pain, used machines at PT and exercise. I also had deep massages, heat and sound waves, shots and the TENS machine. Sometimes, you get lucky and find something that works. I haven't. I just try to ignore it so my mind doesn't concentrate on it all day. Trust me this is not just a headache in intensity, it is a 6 to 10 on the scale of pain or sometimes I say 20+.

Ever find when you are real busy with activities or major thoughts, or involved in a good book or movie that the pain is less? If you can divert your mind to other things, pleasant memories, etc., it might help. The more I think of my pain, the more it intensifies. I think they call it, mind over matter.

I am sorry you are experiencing this pain. I have not heard of the treatment doctor who mentioned. I hope you find relief. Do you have an electric chair or a manual? Is the arm pain/damage related to use? Arm pain could originate in the shoulder or neck too.
