Question clumsiness or partial loss of peripheral vision?

I am a clod now - I can admit it. But, I am curious. How do I know if I lost part of my peripheral vision?

Walking down the stairs this morning, I was fully awake and showered. However, I missed the bottom step for some reason. My foot curled inward, at the toes & hurt bad! My toes throbbed for a couple of hours, yowza! I couldn't put any pressure on my toes either. Finally, the pain subsided & I went about my day carefully. Now, the pain is back again , and I'm supposed to work tomarrow (and this weekend- I am a CNA)!

Anywho, when I'm in a relatively dark room, my right eye does not adjust to the light level. My left eye can see in the dark, my right eye cannot.

Is there a connection between the two? Or am I picking at straws here ?? Btw, I know that I should probably see an optometrist (with these Q's) for a check-up, but I don't have insurance yet & I am broke. Please help if you can..ty!
