My friend has suggested that I explore Dr. Garvey's treatments in Florida. I am wondering if anyone has heard/seen him. Any response would be appreciated.

Georgia
Georgia: I have wicked nerve pain. It feels like fire under my skin. I heard someone describe it as acid on the skin. Mine not that bad, but it is enough to disturb your peace. It is a delicate balance. I am still working and am really trying not to file for disability, however between the pain and fatigue I am wondering how long I can maintain. After trying Neurotin and Naproxen, I started taking Tramadol. It is a mild narcotic, but I only take 100mg in the morning to get to work. I then use 600 mg of Ibuprofen two more times during the day and evening. I have found that keeps it at bay so I can work. Mine is bad in the morning. I find that it subsides if I rest. Give yourself as much as you can. You cannot run at the same speed you used to. The Tramadol is supposed to be addictive, but I have not had a problem. Try that regiment. I also go for Steriod infusions once a month and that has really helped. I am researching White willow bark, however I think I will be careful with that and the Tramadol and Solumedrol. Take care. I completely understand.
