i tried provigil and it worked for me for several hours.
maybe you could try half the pill on a a wk/e day.
did you say you tried it before and didn't do well? sorry, i don't remember.
i have hypertension too and did fine.
the only reason i don't bother to take it is because i'm retired and if i get tired in the afternoon i can nap. and that rejuvenates me for the evening.
maybe you could invite a friend over for pizza and a movie but don't tell them you took the med. then you'd have a unsuspecting helper if needed.
