Default Sudden mental clarity?

About two weeks ago, I was put on 125 mgs of Depakote (I know baby dose). Just yesterday I realized that some of the symptoms I took for granted would always be there are suddenly gone. Gone are the strange shadows in my peripheral vision. Gone are the strange noises I hear that no one else seems to hear (like non-existent cats meowing). And most surprisingly I have realized that, I have started accepting all of my chronic illnesses as part of me and my life instead of fighting them.
It seems like all the mental clouds that prevented me from seeing things or skewed my way of thinking are going away or are gone.
Is this a temporary thing? Does this happen to everyone? Am I being optimistic?
What is happening?
