No to phantom sounds, but I know my hearing is much more sensitive than most people's. My dog and I are in synch in that regard.
Yes to phantom smells (at times) though. Mostly it's smoke/fire, sewage/diapers, and boiling beef bones (thought another Jeffery Dalmer moved in the neighborhood at one point
). Again my sense of smell is very keen, and I can smell things LONG before anyone else does, which is unusual for a smoker, I think.
