Since it wasn't happening before the lyrica, it's very likely that that's the culprit here. I've always had low blood pressure myself and I will sometimes get those same feelings you have now. Feeling like I'm going to pass out,hearing seems to fade, like you're going deaf. It's happened to me my whole life so I'm used to it. LOL I can see why it would be scary to someone who's never had that happen before though.
All I can suggest is to not bend over quickly or get up from a sitting or laying down position fast either. If you're lying down......sit up slowly on the edge of the couch or bed and just sit there for a minute or so. That gives your body time to adjust. When sitting, get up slow and if you feel faint, sit back down and do the old head between the knees thing.
It really does work! These are the things I've always done and it helps.
I suspect taking the lyrica isn't a good idea for you. Let me know what the doc says.
