Default Shunt replacement and psychological issues

I am new to the site and to research in this area. My wife had a small brain bleed during her last shunt replacement about 6 years ago. Although she is functioning in society, life for our family has never been the same. In my opinion, her personality has changed significantly; she is unable to perform many executory functions; and she has become self-absorbed, paranoid and rigid in her ways. She was tested about 18 months after the surgery, but refuses to release those results or to participate in any subsequent testing. She refuses to acknowledge that she may have issues. I'm looking for guidance on this topic, for myself and my teenage daughter who is having trouble dealing.
