at the library again so this is very short and not very informative because jeff is not here and he is the computer guy.
thank you three for your input.
the monitor is 8 years old and the computer is a refurbished dell that is probably 4 years old, it has the 3rd service pack suposedly loaded onto the original windows xp, there is only 2 of something, maybe that is the ram....jef said he would want 3 or 4 in a new model.
thanks again when I get him back on line I will ask him about these things, by then we may have a new computer...lol
for about $1000 we can have a really nice dell with xp and a big very nice flat screen monitor and includes a cheap printer along with it. hubby could use that at work.
any way he is sick of spending his time trying to do things on the computer...he is behind on his teaching responsibilities right now.
So I consider his time valuable too. I would like to not have to always worry about the computer crasing and such.
