Hi Ouch
Great to meet you. I had my aneurysm clipped nearly five years ago, but I vividly remember being emotional, teary and easily angered for the first six months. This is quite normal when you think about it, someone had been mucking around with the very thing that makes you YOU.
It is an emotionally, physically and psychologically traumatic experience. Many aneurysm survivors both ruptured and unruptured experience depression as well, so please don't be afraid of seeking help if you find that it is getting too hard to live with.
I remember feeling like a 'creature from the black lagoon' with weight gain, a huge scar, partially shaven head and really bad acne from steroids. My self image was shattered, and I needed help.
Please take care, continue to be kind to yourself and remember that the people who love you will understand - as long as you explain it.
