That's so heartbreaking, but yes very true. Each and every day in America. That's why I support my no-kill shelter, Hearts United for Animals. These places run on donations.

At least, I think, people are becoming more aware of these kinds of situations. Maybe not to the extent that we'd like, but...I know there is a huge movement against puppy mills and buying pets at pet stores.

And if you buy from a breeder always ask to see their 'facility'. Bad breeders will bring the dog to you and not allow you to see where they have been. Sad fact, but very true.

And we have all these wonderful people here who are informed and wonderful furbaby parents.
