Gee, that sounds really tough Allen - I hope and pray all goes well and i'm thinking about you!!

I have only had one MRI since developing RSD and that was when I was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago now (they don't seem to do MRI's that often over here in the UK for some reason or another!). The MRI for me was really painful but I think that was from all of the noise that the machine makes (it literally sounds as though you're in a washing maching LOL) and at that point, I didn't have any pain medications as the doctors weren't sure what was the matter - although they highly suspected I had RSD!!

I agree with what the others have said. Ask your Doctor if you could take any additional pain medications before and afterwards to try and help you "cope" with the pain! Also, try and not stress too much about it - I know that's very hard to do but i'm sure you already know that stress makes RSD pain SO much worse!!!

I'm sure everything will go OK and hopefully you will get some much-needed help and treatment!

Please keep us all updated when you can and i'm thinking about you!!
