No, no, Rdub, it's the Bioness L300, it's pretty similar to the WalkAide but it has a doohickey that senses your heel's relationship to the floor. If I understand it correctly, this not only helps with lifting the toes (like Walk-Aide), but also engages the huhwhuhsomeithibial response that lets your foot and leg make the heel-toe gait cycle.
Here's their website:

That thing you saw on my leg was just an AFO, a brainless, bulky piece of plastic. While it does help keep me from doing painful, clumsy & frequent DMs, it's not stoked with magical powers.
My neuro check up is next week and I called ahead to warn them that I'll be seriously talking about it; the gatekeeper, Tammy, is really psyched as I am the first patient to ask for it.
My ambulation may be too far gone to get any help from it so I have to go to a PT outfit for an evaluation. My goal is not to climb Pike's Peak (did it twice) or ride a bike (sold it) or to run in a marathon (pashaw), but it would be soooooo nice to be able to get from my bed to the bathroom 20 ft. away without flopping onto my face and subsequently putting a doodie in my drawers.
