i have a kind of strange problem and i am not exactly sure this is the right place to ask. first of all i am agoraphobic with panic disorder, and when i went to my appointment with my new pain dr i was not "in my right mind". i was in a severe panic attack when he was talking to me. i ended up getting a epidural steroid injection. had i been coherent before consenting i would have asked if the steroid reaction would be the same as from oral. i am not allergic, but have horrendous side effects, from oral steroids bad enough that my gp won't give them to me for anything short of a life threatening asthma attack anymore. my question now is, with oral, the side effects go away very soon after i stop taking them, but from my understanding these injections(which so far has shown no sign of helping) can last up to a year. does anyone know how long the side effects from the steroids in them can last? my panic is so bad i can hardly leave my closet, let alone my house. this is not the only symptom but most are not as bad, and a couple are rather embarrassing to post here. i would appreciate any help, and if this is in the wrong forum could someone put it in the proper one?
