Nagging husband
Nagging husband has MRI, does his hyperbole have merit? He was offered epidural shots.
FINDINGS: There is a 1.6 x 1.5 cm area of high T2 and relatively high T1 signal in the posterior central aspect of the left L1 vertebral body...there is a mild disc desiccation diffusely and disc space narrowing from L2-S1.
Axil images: L3-L4: There is a left papacentral disk protrusion with mild left neural foraminal narrowing; right neural foramina appears patent. L4-L5: there is circumferential disk bulge with mild central canal and L5-S1: There is mild circumferential disk bulge without central cnal no frontal and narrowing.
IMPRESSION: Circumferential disk bulge with mild central canal and bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at L4-L5. Left paracentral disk protrusion with left neural foraminal narrowing at L3-4. Probable hemangioma in the left L1 vertebral body. Further evaluation with contrast-enhanced study may be considered.
