Loop a towel in a U shape around the foot. Push with foot and pull with arms. Can be done either sitting in a chair if you have enough balance, or sitting on the floor.

I had to laugh when I read sitting on the floor. If I get down on the floor, I have en extremely hard time getting up. It's comical. Maybe the cats can help
