Twink, my Dad was the same way. We had his air conditioner going full blast in his hospice room.....and it was mid-January! We all sat around with coats on and he had a sheet and the flimsy hospital gown. It may be because he's dehydrated....I know my Dad was.
Your Dad's sense of humor sounds just like my Dad's. He had his up until the very end. Always flirting with the nurses and cracking jokes. I think he was trying to make things easier for all of us. Bless his heart.
I'm sorry for the heartache that you're going to suffer but so glad you have the opportunity to be with him. Being with my Dad when he passed was the hardest yet most rewarding thing I have ever done. I got to actually hold his hand and be right there with him when he passed. It's an experience I'll never, ever forget. I didn't want to let him go but knew that he was ready and needed to make the journey.
Hugs to you, Ro.
