Sadly they can. When I got hurt and couldnt work anymore I lost my cars, my ranch, credit cards, and dignity.

All went on my credit report, but I decided it only stays for 7 years or so, and SSDI income isnt really conducive to great credit anyways lol. So in another couple years my credit will be squeaky clean again, then maybe we can get a credit card.

I will use it for gas purchases since I am going to be purchasing gas evey month. Then pay it off on time for 2 points per month. Heck maybe in 5 years we can have decent credit LOL.
