Hi Bryanna,

My GP put me on Actonel last year, and I took it until a few months ago. Overall I think I took it for about 4 months, but every single morning I was waking up vomiting. As Actonel was the only new thing in my life (diet included) I assumed that the Actonel was the culprit, so I stopped taking it. That was about 3 months ago, but haven't told my GP yet.

I broke 6 bones in 5 years from osteo, so my GP was adamant that I take this medication. As much as I like her, she doesn't like being told that you don't like a certain medication, and she doesn't like you going against what she says.

There's no use saying change doctors because that's not an option. There just aren't any others to go to. There's a severe lack of doctors in the state where I live, and none are taking new patients, so unfortunately it's a case of put up with what you've got...... like it or lump it!
