For supplement doses aim for 1/2 the RDA which is about 200mg of elemental. The above post has alot information I have gathered over the years to help.

There are other things that help block the NMDA receptors for pain.

zinc
melatonin (recently discovered)
magnesium
Thank you so much for clarifying that! I posted this on my first cup of coffee and didn't think the edit that out. You are right, many of us ARE low on Magnesium.....I take a supplement before bed. I will go in and edit my post regarding the enema part so as not to confuse anyone. Thanks again!!
