Hi,
I have a lot of respect for Dr.Weissman and his work in stem cell area is great, his lab was the first one to characterize stem cells, make a mouse model for AIDS etc., the list goes on. He is a well known and highly regarded scientist from Stanford. If I remember correctly, he was also a co-founder of atleast a part of a biotech company "SystemiX" which was founded by people from his group. I agree Big Pharma is no angel but I find it hard to believe that big Pharma could stop him from taking his discoveries into therapeutics at his own company. Anyway thats my two cents worth on this topic!
