Default Karoake at retirement center

Today my DH and his little karaoke group took their show to my Mom's senior home. Since yesterday was Valentines day the theme was of course love songs. They were down two men but one of them not there is totally tone dead and it also comes across in his expressions and stance, if you know what I mean. Of course I think my DH is the best. Our daughters names are Christina Marie and Michelle. So he always sang Maria from west Side story to the oldest one and the Beatles song Michelle (french) to the younger one. His song to me when we were dating was Andy Williams "More'. So he sang all of those today. My Mom was just in tears. When he was singing the girls songs I turned on my cell phone. I knew that they were busy so their voice mails would pick up, that's what I wanted. He didn't even know I was doing it!

The guy that owns the compnay has been married for 46 years so he is a little older than the rest of the guys and he knew a little more of the songs that this older generation would love to hear. And they sang a lot of some of Elvis' earlier songs. My DH also sang the 'first dance' song at our youngest daughters wedding so he sang that one. We had a good time.

This group likes to go to nursing homes, retirement homes and any fund raiser for our local National Guard unit of which several fo us have family members in and they do it for free.
