Default New here - TOS Sufferer

Hi,
I have just found this forum
I had an operation for TOS in 2004 - scalenectomy. Relief afterwards was almost immediate. For 4 years I have been free from pain, just recently (about 5 months now), I have started to experience pain in my neck, cold hand (right hand), tingling, numbness, general heaviness etc. Reoccuring symptoms as before. I have had an MRI where they injected dye into my nervous system, I've had a nerve conduction test and physio - the tests have confirmed that I have a trapped nerve. They aren't sure if it's spinal or thoracic, I have a spinal MRI booked for next week. I have been told that if it's thoracic, I will have to have a rib re-section?
I am scared at the thought of a) having another operation and b) having another large scar - bit obviously the thought of having no pain far outweighs this. I'm just feeling a bit low I guess and upset that the problem has come back again.
Thought it would be nice to chat to other people who experience and know what I'm going through.
Sharon
