I cried, too. It's so sad when a beloved author dies.

I normally read mysteries and serial killer books (fiction). However, I'm recommending Windblown Clouds by Thomas K. Shor. It's nonfiction, and it's about his travels in Greece and to the Indian Himalayas. He loves mountains and their people, and I think he's a fantastic writer. Makes you feel like you're right there walking beside him.

My DH loves history, especially the Civil War. He's a big CW buff, which is one of the reasons why we moved to Virginia--lots of battlegrounds.

I like historical fiction. I'm also a fan of things like Mt. Everest, Alaska, Arctic and Antarctic explorations, and anything concerning the oceans.

What about you? What are your favorite topics?
