Well, Brain, I don't know how well I do it, but I like to do it —BUT, and it's a big one— I only do road trips with my favorite travel partner, ME.

No way would I make the trip your hub is talking about. In high school and college, we did the 24-hour blast down to the keys, but that was then. MS aside, what a silly thing it was to fly down there with 10,000 other carloads of overtired & over stimulated teens.

I'm with you, if I see something interesting, off I go, no holds barrred. My only rule for myself is that it has to be within 100 miles of my course.

If plans, weather & $$ allow, I will still do the occasional "let's go right now!" quicky trips, but I drive myself and stop to go wee wee and stretch whenever I want, my passenger(s) are at my mercy. That includes the music.
