futurexboy, I have very simular neck pain and I too had surgery and now have a plate. My neck has been giving me fits and mine is on the right side. Had trouble with my rt pinky finger going numb a while back and now my left is doing the same. Also having nearly daily cervical headaches along with the pain in my neck. UGH.
Hope you get some answers...might want to try making a new thread and see if someone can help. I was checking here and thinking of posting about my C-spine problems myself. froggie
Jess, I think that age is not so much to worry over, but do think our health and condition are the main considerations. At 66 myself I am far older in my spine than my real age. I see folks in their eighties that can run rings around me.
