That was a great story, Legz! The things we do to help them sleep, eh?

I learned the hard way with my first daughter, not to get too detailed in my stories. After that lesson, I resorted to, "the only thing I know for sure in life is that there is a GOD, and I love you".

My eldest talked as though there was still a Santa though, long after the youngest stopped believing . . . and there's 3 1/2 yrs between them. HA!

When they asked if there was Santa, I said, "well, think about it . . . if you stop believing, he'll stop bringing presents". I think that's why my eldest hung onto those fantasies until she was about 16.

My youngest used to ask, "why don't YOU ever bring us any toys, just clothes and things like that?". I said, "cause I know Santa will" .... It sure is much easier, cheaper!, and more "glorious" now that we don't have to play the Santa/tooth fairy/easter bunny games any more.
