--it is absolutely possible to have a neuropathyi n which both the larger myelinated fibers and the smaller thinly myelinated or unmyelinated fibers are involved. Typically, this would point to a toxic, nutritional, autoimmune, or vascultic etiology--but that is still a very broad area to investigate.
