Yes, when the mandate for those labels went into law, back in the 90's I believe,
decisions were made as to which nutrients would be required.
People can have iron overload, or be deficient in iron commonly.
So that one is required. Same for calcium, since osteoporosis is a huge problem in US.

Remember, a COMMITTEE designed that label.
