Lightbulb just to clarify....

Lactose intolerance is not an allergy... it is a lack of lactase enzyme to digest
lactose (called milk sugar) in dairy.

True dairy allergy is an allergy to the proteins in cow's milk called casein.

This is very different.

Lactose intolerant people can take tablets containing lactase (Lactaid) and
still eat dairy (from cows). There is also Lactaid milk with it added already.

Diarrhea from dairy is most typically a lactose problem. Systemic effects from dairy would point to casein.
