hi gabbycakes...I would suggest possibly you may also have SI joint injury(sacroiliac joint). They are common after a fall or auto collision. I have this issue, and it causes alot of pain/weakness. These are the small joints in the pelvis that connect to the sacrum/lumbar spine. Sometimes it is the piriformis muscle that also gets inflammed and presses on the sciatic nerve that causes the awful shooting leg pains...
