LOL! We have never had a normal pet.

My bird barks - he used to potty outside, but we had to stop that when he tried to fly away.

My dog - the one in the avatar - bumps you with her big butt when she wants something. WHAM! her bowl needs water. WHAM! Time for a tummy rub.

And she sits up like a person on the couch, with her back against the backrest and her front legs hanging at her sides.
