These days I'd get something a little more efficient. Larger. Waste less water. Fuel efficient. Use less power.

Whatever you get, make sure you have choice of water levels and speed as well so that if you really want to just do a small load, you can do that without wasting power and water.

Thank you Lara for your input, all very good pointers! You are right about the price, it is a lot. I could get a much smaller/cheaper one but now that I am an old lady I was thinking of ettin one that will outlive me this time. The Front Loaders with the many water level selections cost anywhere from $600.00 to $2200.00 I want energy/water efficient, Hot water internal thermo to kill germs, and a fast spinner...

DANG...is that where our US dollar is at
