Hi Pete,
I thought about what you said and I have always been interested in photography. Since I was a young teenager I have enjoyed taking pictures.
Why haven't I pursued it ? You know, I watch National Geographic or the other nature programs that come on and just marvel at the photographs these people take. I get all excited and go to Barnes and Noble and buy a book or books on basic photography and sit down to read them and this lasts about 10 minutes . I get so bogged down in all the technical stuff that I never go out and actually photograph anything. I do have a nice small digital Canon camera which does take nice pictures but again it is pocket size. It nothing like the bigger SLR cameras with the telephoto lenses for getting close ups of animals in nature. I just can't afford to spend the money for one of those cameras let alone the telephoto lenses. So there you go, I get interested in something and before you know it I have talked myself out of it.
The times that I have put my camera in my pocket and have actually gone somewhere and walked around with the thought in my mind to take pictures, most of the time I am so self conscious about photographing people, places or things that I don't take anything.
So, a lot of times I don't bother doing anything.
Larry

If you don't mind, may I ask a question?
You've been fairly descriptive of your life, and what ails you.
If you hadto stop and think, and come up with an answer to this, what would it be?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
(Now, I'm assuming that your family is happy, like you said, and you like your job).
I mean, if a "genie gave you one wish, to DO SOMETHING" what would it be?
You can't ask for "a cure", you hafto ask for something "To Do". Something that you would have to spend a lot of time doing, so you'd need to enjoy it somewhat.
Music, painting, sports, games, hiking, fishing, see, I'm talking hobby type things, even work, or meditation. As opposed to working on a chain gang.
What would you say?
Anyway, I hope we get to talk more!
Glad you're here.
ASB
Pete
