Hi,
If the meds you take for depression are working, then I would say that you are ok. Some people go through three or four meds that don't work. Some of them can benefit from a mood stabilizer.

If your moods do not interfere with your life, then I would say that you are ok now and do not need to seek more medication. Are you able to work or go to school and have good relationships with the people around you?

I do have one question: How long have you been on the anti-depressant? Years and years? Some people can be fine on it for a little while and then blow up into anxiety or mania.

Make sure you tell the psychiatrist what you told us here so that the psychiatrist can help you be aware of what is going on -- in case you need a different medication in a hurry.

Others will chime in here I think and make more sense than what I am saying.
