Dear BlueMajo,
If you are concerned, see a psychiatrist.
It is possible that you will be fine with the mdoc giving you anti-depressants.

It is also possible (not likely, but possible) that someone in your situation could have a problem and have the problem compounded because the mdoc did not recognize it fast it enough or respond to it fast enough.
I'm talking about mania. Some mdocs completely mess up and ruin people's lives by not responding quickly enough when someone goes into mania caused by the meds that they are giving the patient.

If you want to be safe, get at least one appointment with a psychiatrist who specializes in mood disorders. This way you have a psychiatrist who knows you and is already on standby if something happens.
