I am the same - with my feet and legs, both are affected but my left has always been more advanced that the right.

Actually it is the same with my joint pain (from my lupus), my left is always worse than my right.

I think this sort of slightly asymmetrical symmetrical process is quite common with many conditions.

Some of my nerve damage is totally asymmetrical eg a nerve in my left hip is affected while my right hip is not involved at all, such is the joys of mononeuritis multiplex.
