That's what I thought, too, but my sister, who is an interior designer, and did all the new Pfizer labs (right before she and all others were pfired) told me that it's truly a cost factor. She added that most everyone carries some kind of clock now, whether a watch, a phone, PDA, game, laptop, etc.
