Today I learned that medical waiting rooms/areas do not typically have wall clocks due to the necessary maintenance of them (batteries/Daylight Saving Time/climbing & cleaning). I was at the DMV last week and noticed they didn't have clocks either, when I FINALLY got to the window I asked about it and the girl said "we aren't sure if it is so the public doesn't watch them, or the staff" and winked.
