I have found that stretching in the bed before I get up helps some. There are simple stretches that you can do right there before you get up. It doesn't take very long either. And, before, I do that I just stretch out like I was a cat. It does make a difference for me. It doesn't make the ache go away but it does help to stretch the muscles gently.
