ellie, i don't endorse the mayo clinic diet. for many of the reasons they don't either.
3 of the best are weight watchers, south beach and dr phil.
dr phil is an easy lifestyle change. he has a 14 day quick start program.
south beach has the frozen and fresh meals besides the book. that makes it easy to not have to cook something different for him. pretty tasty too.
not sure if the ww would work for him. his schedule and meetings. but the point system is easy to follow.
